Your Mid-Week Experiment
Sort of a subdued reaction to this weekend’s essay that imagined what the acting mayor of Hawkins, Indiana would say after the last episode of Stranger Things. I get it. Not everyone is into the show, but you don’t have to be current with the Netflix show to pick up what I’m laying down.
Lots of fun stuff this week. Let’s get to it!
“…there are approximately 700 times as many creators working for TikTok than there are professionals producing content in film and TV across the globe.” (Professor Scott Galloway)
“There is little evidence … that codependence actually exists. The diagnosis was rejected by psychiatry’s diagnostic manual, The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or D.S.M.” (Maia Szalavitz)
I struggle with needing to be more inclusive with the word “woman.” This was a good thinker. (Men Yell At Me)
Is this my favorite song? It’s not not my favorite song.
“Favor, a birth control and emergency contraception provider, has turned to TikTok to seek out influencer partnerships via “activation campaigns” centered on abortion rights and the end of Roe.” (The 19th*)
Neighbors save lives. (Axios)
“And in the past 10+ years since this policy was designed and implemented, Finland has basically eradicated homelessness and maintained it.” Admit it, you’re curious, aren’t you? (POLITICO EU)
Uber sucks. (The Guardian)
Like, so much. (The Washington Post)

Lastly, I cannot recommend Hustle enough. It should get attention from the Academy.

We set up a merch table in the back where you can get T-shirts, coffee mugs, and even tote bags now. Show the world that you’re part of The Experiment.
We’ve also got a tip jar, and I promise to waste every cent you give me on having fun, because writing this newsletter for you is some
