Your Mid-Week Experiment
Welcome to your always free, reader-supported edition of The Experiment where we share great things to read, cook, listen to, and watch. As always, this bugga free.
Let’s get right to it:
My new favorite dinner-party music…
Do you want to read something really mean about conservative men who never seem to stop whining? (Dialectics of Decline) Do you want to read more about this? (Read Max)
Gen Z women are really souring on Donald Trump. Really? What gave it away? (John Della Volpe)
Marketing nerds will dig what Duo Lingo did to its owl. (NPR)
Language nerds will love this John McWhorter essay about James and Black English. (gift link)
If you need to level-set on what is going on, you’re not going to get better than “The President of Blank Sucking Nullity,” even though it’s from 2017. Nossir. h/t to Elise Hu (David Roth)

I recommend watching this movie with a fun, smart person (S is taken, sorry y’all), watch the first third of this movie, turn it off, and spend the rest of the night imagining how you would finish the movie, because I guarantee it’s better than how The Gorge went. OTOH, this critic completely disagrees with me.
Much better than expected but still not good. Fun stunts.
We set up a merch table in the back where you can get T-shirts, coffee mugs, and even tote bags now. Show the world that you’re part of The Experiment.
